Homemade BBQ Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups tomato ketchup
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon paprika, or to taste
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions

Place all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil, then reduce heat. Simmer uncovered for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened.

Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate. The sauce benefits from at least one hour of refrigeration before use, allowing flavors to meld.
